Day 43: The reason we’re saying this is because this helps to reduce spam on your personal e-mail address that you may be using for important reasons like work or job search. For eg; Have a separate one for online shopping or e-mail subscriptions that you’re interested in. Also, make sure you use a different password for each account. 50securedays

Day 44: There is a reason why it goes to spam! Select all and delete anything that comes your way in spam (or Junk E-mail) because most phishing scams happen via spam e-mails that may or may not look dodgy. 50securedays

Day 45: You must have a device locator on your phones! For android, you can go to https://lnkd.in/d5Nu2qF, for iPhone you can go to https://lnkd.in/dsYnBwY. You can easily find your phone, lock it and even securely erase it if you’ve misplaced or lost it. You don’t want it to fall in the wrong hands! 50securedays

Day 46: How many times have you seen a pop-up that says “your system has been infected, download anti-virus now”? These are scams that try to influence you to click on a link and that can infect your system with malware. 50securedays

Day 47: Where do you store all your photos? Never keep all your photos on a single device like your phone or laptop. Maybe consider a back-up on an external encrypted device. 50securedays

Day 48: Be very careful when you answer calls and the caller claims to be from your bank. Remember, no bank will ask you for your sensitive information online. If unsure, ask for their name and call them back on the number from the bank’s website to confirm with them. 50securedays

Day 49: If you don’t want websites to track your online activity, clear your cookies on a regular basis and in your browser settings, do not accept third-party cookies. 50securedays

Day 50: Malware can easily scan your computer in search of any sensitive information. So don’t store your credit card details in any of the files on your computer. 50securedays
