Ward Solutions helps HEAnet to develop its wireless networking strategy.
Ward Solutions were engaged in 2008 by HEAnet to develop the
Higher Education and Research sectors Wireless Strategy with the goal of providing ubiquitous wireless to the sector – effectively extending the campus clouds nationally.
Building on the infrastructure of the national education and research network, this focused on providing ubiquitous National Wireless Services for Higher Education staff and students from 2008 to 2013.
Implementation of the strategy will result in national Wireless broadband being available to staff and students in Higher Education institutes from commencement of term in 2008. The engagement leveraged our domain expertise and experience in both the higher education/research and telecommunications sectors as well as our Strategic ICT Consulting services to deliver an accepted strategy in aggressive timeframes having consulted widely both nationally and internationally within the respective sectors.
